Phobias, Biscuits and Brainpower: A Fantastic Night at the Royal Oak

The Royal Oak was buzzing with laughter, friendly competition and plenty of brainpower on the evening of Thursday 22 October as local residents gathered for a thoroughly entertaining Pub Quiz Night.

Expertly organised and brilliantly hosted by Charmian and Charlotte, the evening struck the perfect balance between challenge, fun and humour. Their excellent preparation, enthusiastic presentation and good-natured banter kept everyone engaged from start to finish.

The quiz featured a variety of imaginative rounds that tested a wide range of knowledge and skills. Among the highlights was a picture quiz that challenged teams to identify an assortment of popular biscuits, prompting plenty of debate and more than a few nostalgic memories. Another memorable round asked participants to match phobia descriptions with their often tongue-twisting names, proving both educational and entertaining in equal measure.

As the evening progressed, teams battled it out for quiz supremacy, with plenty of laughter accompanying both the correct answers and the more creative attempts. The atmosphere throughout was warm, welcoming and full of community spirit.

A huge thank you goes to Charmian and Charlotte for all the hard work that went into making the event such a success. Their efforts created a fantastic evening that was enjoyed by everyone who attended.

The Pub Quiz Night once again demonstrated what makes our community special: good company, plenty of laughter, and the chance to come together for an enjoyable evening at the Royal Oak.

Well done to all who took part, and here’s hoping there will be another quiz night before too long!
